This was our second major project for Kidspace. It involved the conversion of a 24,000ft² existing nightclub into a kids club! Incorporating a restaurant, party zone, 5000ft² 6m high wooden play frame, go kart, soft play, multipurpose and toddler area.

We were responsible for developing the concept within the defined cost plan and agreed programme. Through weekly design and Client meetings the project was delivered on time and within a tight budget.

Health and Safety management was a critical aspect of the works to ensure the finished product was suitable for children's use. The management of the extensive children's timber play structure erection involved liaison with the HSE to agree a suitable safe system of work for components that had not been erected internally before.

The project was carried out under a negotiated design and build JCT 2005 contract.
