This project was procured under a 2 stage design and build process. An intensive pre contract period enabled both the Local Authority to be actively involved with the design process with specific sign off meetings. The cost plan was transparently developed alongside the design and the Local Authorities Quantity Surveyor was constantly communicated with during the delivery of the project which enabled the final account to be agreed within a month of hand over.

The project included a new mezzanine floor to accommodate 2 new studio spaces, relocation and reconfiguration of the gym, new dry side male and female changing rooms, redevelopment of the existing wet side male and female changing areas to allow a village changing area to service the existing pool area and redevelopment of the reception and viewing gallery. Minor developments were also incorporated in the scheme to modernise the pool environment itself. The project took place whilst the facility remained operational and was delivered on time and budget and to the complete satisfaction of both Clients and their customers.
