This scheme was a complex operational reconfiguration to provide an additional theatre adjacent to a live theatre suite. Works included providing new enlarged ITCU and recovery facilities along with relative’s room, office, linen and dirty utility facilities. The main focus was to provide a complete theatre suite incorporating anaesthetic room, prep and scrub areas. Finally the staff facilities were fully reconfigured and refurbished to provide a new staff room and change facilities. Works were undertaken in 6 phases to ensure the hospital remained totally operational and could function safely.
