The existing kids play area required upgrading and separation from the main ward so that the flow of patients and space for the children's play could be maximised. VincentStokes were required to demolish and remove the existing facilities on the 7th floor of a busy ward to incorporate a bright and fun area for the children to play. Site constraints included maintaining dust levels, cleanliness and security was of the highest priority.

With a four week schedule from the original concept through to final handover the scheme was very fast track project (11 days on site). The successful completion is a credit to client Imperial College, design team and all the suppliers.
